Today I found a disturbing article in the local newspaper, as reported by Fairfax. You can find it here:

I’m not sure which I found more disturbing – the article or the comments…
To those imbeciles who commented, I have the following to ask. They know who they are and so would you, if you read their dismal drivel – clearly marked by spelling mistakes and inept grammar usage.
“Death by natural causes” is a term used by coroners to describe death when the cause was disease instead of accident, violence or drug use. It may also refer to death by multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (i.e. old age). Having said that, I always find it strange when a young person of apparent healthy physical appearance dies of “natural causes” in a controlled environment, like a prison.
I have to ask, are the authorities not compelled by the very fabric of government to follow a specific protocol aimed and optimised at safeguarding the welfare of inmates (notwithstanding the personal & sometimes medieval views that some individuals may hold), that would in essence prevent or at least minimise untimely or inexplicable death? (Yes, the term is also used when the cause of death is unknown.)
I have to ask, how does a 22 year old die of “natural causes”? And will we, the oh-so-concerned-public, when, let’s say a gay MP writes an anonymous letter or heaven forbid another pays for a porn movie with his ministerial credit card, be satisfied with this answer from the authorities, because she was a convicted killer?
I have to ask, have the zealots spewing “Karma” and “Just Desserts” over her cold and lifeless body stopped for a moment today and placed themselves in her loved ones’ positions, who now are mourning the death of a second daughter?
And finally I have to ask, have you given any thought as to in what situation your child will one day find herself when death comes to fetch her? Even though you may today be a disillusioned-self-opinionated child yourself sans-progeny, have you given it a moment’s thought? If you cannot imagine the death of your child have you stopped today to consider your own? Have you, you poor bumbling bloody nincompoop? I hope for your sake, that Death is swift in its execution and aims true to perfection.
